About The Position

As a Production Engineer - First Line Support, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by troubleshooting technical issues, improving production stability, and helping ensure products meet the highest quality standards. Based in Wilton, Connecticut, the Production Engineer - First Line Support works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to keep production running efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong technical expertise while making a direct impact on the performance and reliability of complex semiconductor manufacturing systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related technical field with prior internship experience
Apply structured problem-solving techniques to complex technical challenges.
Analyze data to identify trends and support process improvements.
Communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Document technical issues, investigations, and resolutions accurately.
Demonstrate a proactive and ownership-driven approach to problem solving.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and production demands.

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems is preferred.
Exposure to manufacturing operations, quality systems, or process improvement initiatives is beneficial.
Experience working with manufacturing data and statistical analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot production issues in real time to minimize downtime and maintain manufacturing output.
Document investigations, technical findings, and corrective actions to support continuous learning.
Escalate complex issues and partner with technical experts to drive effective resolution.
Monitor process performance using manufacturing data and statistical process control methods.
Investigate recurring issues and contribute to long-term corrective and preventive actions.
Support material review, quality review, and production recovery activities to maintain product flow.
Participate in continuous improvement projects that enhance quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
