Production Design Assistant

Sock ClubAustin, TX

About The Position

Sock Club is looking for a Production Design Assistant to join our creative team and help us deliver the highest quality custom socks in the promotional products industry. Known for our attention to detail, fast turnaround times, and standout designs, we're seeking someone who can help our designers keep the creative pipeline moving, without sacrificing quality. This is a production-first role. The bulk of your day will be spent on revision-based work driven by requests from our Sales and Operations teams - not starting designs from scratch. You'll prepare production-ready files for our mills, handle design revisions, and prep design assets that keep our socks looking their best from concept to customer. If you take pride in precision, thrive under pressure, and get satisfaction from moving a high number of tasks through to completion efficiently, this role is a great fit. If you're primarily looking to grow a design portfolio or take on open-ended creative work, it may not be the right match.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Products (Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Sharp attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for managing expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Print production experience
  • A positive, adaptable attitude - this role rewards people who find flow in repetitive, precise work and who don't need a lot of creative autonomy to feel engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sock Production Designers with design revisions and asset creation, including logos and templates.
  • Prepare artwork for production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Review designs for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client requirements before sending to production.
  • Organize and maintain our digital asset libraries, creating new icons, patterns, and artwork to add to our robust library.
  • Manage and triage incoming requests from Design, Sales, and Ops, setting clear timeline expectations with stakeholders.
  • Offer innovative solutions to design challenges and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Jump in where needed, help with overflow work, cover tasks during absences, and share ideas to improve processes.

Benefits

  • Salary: $45,000
  • Open PTO Policy
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401K Match
  • Casual, Inspiring Work Environment
  • Hybrid Work Week
