Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Leadership aptitude needed to manage and develop others.
- Proven communication, decision making and employee relations skills. Capacity to engage employees and effectively build rapport.
- Results-oriented, with demonstrated abilities to accomplish tasks on schedule and operate within cost constraints.
- Knowledgeable of safety compliance programs.
- Adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Track record driving continuous improvement. Prior exposure to LEAN Management is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Effectively leads the Production Department comprised of 21 employees, which includes: 1 Foreman, 6 Supervisors, 12 Operators, 1 Compliance Coordinator, and 1 Supply Chain Operator.
- This position is accountable for the manufacturing operations of both mineral wool lines, supply chain, quality and environmental compliance.
- Incorporates safety into all aspects of the operation and ensures that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are followed at all times.
- Ability to proactively develop and implement process improvements to meet operating requirements over the short and long term.
- Interested in working with alternative resources in USG on manufacturing new products to respond to market trends.
- Support and facilitate capital project implementation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Ability to develop workforce potential and provide coaching to motivate direct reports and your team to foster employee engagement
