About The Position
The Production Associate is responsible for hands-on operations in the production center, such as processing raw seafood, preparing and cooking raw ingredients according to guidelines. Ensures all specifications are produced in the most cost-effective manner within our quality control standards.
Requirements
- 1 year experience working as a cook or prep cook
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Solid communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to tolerate cold temperatures for long periods of time
Responsibilities
- Read and follow recipes, ensuring production is produced according to specifications.
- Displays working knowledge of methods, safety practices, sanitation standards and equipment use.
- Ensures adherence to procedures, including GMP requirements, food safety, and plant personnel safety.
- Performs quality control checks to ensure standards are met.
- Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company standards, communicating inferior products or procedures.
- Performs duties as assigned and maintains good work habits.
- Must maintain adherence to all sanitation standards and procedures as dictated by local, state, and federal authorities and as monitored by the LSF managers and Quality Assurance Department.
