About The Position

Indotronix is seeking a Production Controller 1 for an onsite job in El Segundo, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products. The Production Controller will compile records concerning material quantities, costs, and types, and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies to meet production and shipping schedules. This position requires the ability to identify and address potential shortages and alert relevant authorities to potential problems and remedial actions. The role also involves estimating and logging production rates and time expenditures, and establishing operational sequences and lead times to meet shipping dates. The position is in-office and does not accommodate telecommute or hybrid schedules.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience
Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point
Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Ability to obtain and maintain equipment licensing including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reachlift.

Responsibilities

Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Assists in determining possible and actual shortages and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
Utilizes WIP reports to expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Coordinates with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met.
Utilizes knowledge of production requirements to coordinate with other shop support teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, MRB, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, etc.) to initiate actions to remove any constraints to Production.
Performs necessary SAP and MES system transactions to release work orders to Manufacturing, receive parts into inventory, close out manufacturing work orders, and issue parts up to next higher assemblies.
Interfaces and obtains ECDs from Manufacturing based on the criticality of the parts.
