About The Position

IEM is currently seeking a Production Control team member for our Surrey, BC location and will report to the Scheduling and Production Control Supervisor. The Production Control team member is primarily responsible for assisting the Production Department with all potential production constraints, coordinating production activities to ensure optimal utilization and timely delivery of products. This role will mitigate current and future risks of anything that could negatively impact on-time completion of finished goods. This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Surrey, BC offices and does not offer remote work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Understanding of how an ERP system flows
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable organizing discussions across all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills including coordinating tasks, schedules, and resources to keep production running smoothly
  • Interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and other departments
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization

Responsibilities

  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and communicate potential schedule changes as needed to accommodate production delays, disruptions, expedites, material shortages, customer cancellations, or recovery plans
  • Track and report production status as needed
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and help implement solutions to meet delivery deadlines
  • Provide support to Production Planners and Schedulers
  • Orchestrate communication with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, and any other departments that may impact production
  • Generate and maintain weekly production reports as required by the Scheduling and Production Control Supervisor or Planning Manager
  • Document history as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to established safety guidelines and scheduling policies, processes, and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
