About The Position

Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, the Production Control employee supports planners and the operations team from customer order placement through product shipment. The role handles work orders, work-in-process tracking, material availability, production-floor hardware flow, inventory transaction accuracy, and reporting.

Requirements

• Previous materials planning experience with multiple product lines; aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain inventory levels and production schedules.
• Knowledge of production control and inventory control.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve planning problems.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with product specifications and incoming inspection procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teammates.
• Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited college.
• At least one year of experience in materials planning and/or Production Control/Planning.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process work orders according to the production plan, including printing work orders, coordinating preparation and issuance of manufacturing kits and labels, issuing materials, and completing work orders under general supervision.
• Track, count, and expedite work in process to help meet production and shipping schedules.
• Interface with Purchasing to ensure vendor delivery schedules support production and shipping schedules.
• Monitor raw materials from purchase order through inspection to ensure materials are available for the production schedule.
• Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, and Quality to expedite materials when needed.
• Assist in reviewing SAP inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Coordinate and monitor the flow of hardware through the production floor.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving data-entry errors and discrepancies.
• Assist with generating reports, complete assigned special projects, and provide performance reports as necessary.
