The Unit Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of Production Control and Parts Movers to ensure materials, components, and work orders are available at the right place and time to support uninterrupted production. This position serves as the primary point of coordination between Production Control, material handling, warehouse, and manufacturing departments. The Unit Coordinator provides day-to-day direction to Parts Movers, monitors material flow, prioritizes work based on production requirements, and addresses issues that may impact production schedules, inventory accuracy, or on-time delivery. The Unit Coordinator provides functional leadership and daily direction to Parts Movers, including assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring productivity, coordinating breaks and coverage, providing real-time direction, coaching employees, identifying training needs, communicating performance or attendance concerns, and promoting accountability, teamwork, safety, and adherence to standard work.
