About The Position

The Production Control Tech I coordinates product flow from after machining through final inspection. The role communicates with customers and outside vendors and is responsible for production control, working with quality control, accounting, manufacturing, and engineering to keep product moving according to schedule. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role maintains production schedules and work orders, monitors order completion, supports customer service with delivery dates, tracks customer backlog, moves and expedites products, responds to internal requests, and prepares shipping lists for accounting. Requirements

Understand production requirements, processes, and materials.
Know scheduling and planning principles and concepts.
Know inventory principles and concepts.
Have experience with manufacturing or ERP systems software.
Have experience with Microsoft Office software.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain production schedules and work orders to support product flow and on-time deliveries.
Print production orders and monitor their completion.
Provide customer service with delivery dates.
Monitor customer backlog reports for manufacturing to support on-time delivery.
Move products internally and expedite products with outside vendors.
Expedite orders as needed to meet customer demand.
Respond to internal customer requests.
Prepare and submit shipping lists to accounting.
