About The Position

The Production Control Specialist is responsible for inventory control, including verification of inventory amounts for mass production, service, and new models, in accordance with customer/production demand and supplier/internal capacity. This includes managing raw materials, components, products, supplies, power equipment, and packaging. The role involves obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide forecasts for plant resource planning. The specialist will develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, monitoring and reacting to demand changes and controlling supplier activities. Coordination with the internal team and processing of engineering change instructions (ECI) and associated ramp-up/build-out activities are also key responsibilities. The position aims to identify and implement opportunities to reduce overall costs, man-hours, and improve departmental output accuracy, while ensuring all duties conform to safety, security, and quality standards. Other reasonably related tasks as required by management are also included.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two years of prior applicable experience in Production Control preferred.
  • Automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Inventory Control including verification of inventory amounts for mass production, service and new model, in accordance with customer/production demand and supplier/internal capacity. (includes but not limited to:raw material, component, product, supplies, power equipment, packaging)
  • Obtain, organize and analyze data from multiple sources to provide forecast to the plant for resource planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with customers, and monitor and react to demand changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers, and monitor and control supplier activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with the team, closely coodinating with appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate and process engineering change instruction (ECI), and associated ramp up / build out activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce overall cost and manhour needed within the department and implement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy of output from the department and implement.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety, security and quality standards.
  • All other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by Management.
