About The Position

The Production Support Specialist plays a critical role in managing the flow of goods into and out of the manufacturing facility. This position involves ensuring accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products and materials. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write English.
  • Successfully pass drug screen.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a certified forklift operator.
  • Maintain a professional image for Customers, Vendors, potential Employees, and visitors.
  • Have a Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw a valid conclusion.
  • Mechanically inclined with a precise attention to detail and organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to use the latest technology/software provided by Company.
  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills that can be practiced at all levels of the organization.
  • Understand company Quality Policy and ISO 9001 fundamentals.
  • Ability to adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming shipments by receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Unload delivery trucks using forklifts, or other company equipment.
  • Store, label materials as needed, and distribute received materials to designated areas.
  • Manage outgoing shipments by preparing orders for shipment by picking, packing, and processing outgoing shipments efficiently.
  • Complete all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and if applicable, customs declarations.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory as required.
  • Ability to make customer deliveries and vendor pickups as required using a provided 10,000 lb. capacity flatbed truck.
  • Ability to open bales, crates, and other containers, and weigh incoming material as required.
  • Follow First in First Out (FIFO) Inventory practices.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions using ERP systems and other computer software.
  • May be required to follow other job-related instructions, cross-train, and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
  • May require working over-time and/or off Shift hours depending on customer needs.
