Production Material Handler

About The Position

Reporting to Production Supervisor and Production Leads,the ideal candidate is reliable and is able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The candidate should understand that the position is considered a Type 3 standard work meaning the cycles are repeated as production lines demand. The candidate will take and record bulk compound temperatures on all “Pots'' every 30 mins. The candidate will wrap, transport and deliver all finished goods pallets to the QC counting area and place where instructed by quality personnel working in said area, Candidate will maintain workfloor organization of hold, rework, and finished product that is not stored in QC counting area. Candidate will collaborate with the shipping area material handler to ensure finished product material flow is constant and available for counting and inspection. This includes pallet structure(condition…not broken or damaged) and stacking correctness. Candidates will complete corrections to incorrectly stacked pallets. Candidate will maintain all finished goods pallet areas clean and ready for new products. Candidate will collaborate with the bulk handler to ensure no unneeded components or cartons remain on the production floor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in field of cosmetics packaging
  • Knowledge of GKC production processes and procedures
  • Understanding of pallet configurations
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to use hand held device(scanner)
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
