About The Position

The Production Control/Scheduling Coordinator releases job orders to the manufacturing floor and coordinates with several departments to support accurate, on-time delivery. The role includes verifying that raw material Certificates of Analysis comply with customer specifications and ensuring material availability, complete documentation, and heat control meet Company and customer requirements.

The coordinator owns the job order process from sales order through the production floor, maintaining accurate ERP information and communication with internal and external customers. The position calls for a highly organized, adaptable team member who can prioritize work, navigate cross-functional teams, and help prevent delays in the production order process.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team to support priorities and prevent delays in the production order process.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt while maintaining an organized process.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and getting work done.

• Some college education.
• Background in production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Release job orders to the manufacturing floor and coordinate with departments to support accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Verify raw material Certificates of Analysis against customer specifications.
• Ensure material availability, complete documentation, and heat control comply with Company and customer requirements.
• Own the job order process from sales order through the production floor, with attention to detail.
• Update the ERP system to ensure material specification requirements and supplier purchase orders match customer requirements.
• Select an OV Vendor based on job requirements, negotiate pricing and optimal lot size, and expedite jobs as needed.
• Maintain updated communication and reporting for internal and external customers.
