About The Position

A Production Control Clerk / Admin plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of production activities at AFM West. Their duties typically include monitoring production schedules, maintaining and updating them for efficiency and timeliness, and ensuring work orders and production targets are met. This role involves compiling and recording production data, creating and managing reports and schedules, and handling timesheet management. Familiarity with EWOCS (workorder system) and GCSS Army is expected. The position may involve calculating production factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, scrap, defect frequency, and worker/department production rates using computers, calculators, and spreadsheets. Additional tasks include writing production reports, maintaining files, preparing detailed production sheets or work tickets, preparing written work schedules, compiling material inventory records, and preparing requisitions. The role also involves charting production using various methods, sorting and distributing work tickets, and potentially computing wages from employee timecards for payroll preparation. This position follows clearly detailed specific procedures for repetitive clerical tasks, such as coding and filing documents, simple posting to accounts, opening mail, calculating and posting charges, operating basic office equipment, and using minimal computer programs. Other duties as assigned, and adherence to company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines are also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with EWOCS (workorder system)
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft office
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent as related to individual specialty code.
  • Familiar with maintenance and material control operations.
  • Must be able to acquire a CAC Card

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update production schedules to ensure efficient and timely production.
  • Ensure that work orders and production targets are met.
  • Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Create and manage reports and schedules.
  • Manage timesheets.
  • Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Chart production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or material.
  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Follow clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file.
  • Operate basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
  • Adhere to company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
