About The Position

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Production Control Clerk to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. This role involves compiling and recording production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. The clerk will perform various duties including compiling data from customer orders, work tickets, and product specifications, calculating production factors, writing production reports, maintaining files, preparing production sheets, creating work schedules, managing material inventory, and charting production statistics. The position may also involve computing wages from timecards and distributing work tickets or materials.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Three years' verifiable experience working in a professional office environment performing clerical duties.
  • Demonstrated ability in the coordination of workflow processes.
  • Must type a minimum of 55 wpm.
  • Strong computer skills, including practical experience with spreadsheet and database programs and report query writing.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Good customer relations skills to effectively provide assistance to Company and customer representatives.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05 standards when entering industrial areas.
  • Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet eligibility requirements necessary for access to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and records production data from documents such as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
  • Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Writes production reports based on compiled, tabulated, and computed data.
  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
  • Compiles detailed production sheets or work tickets from customer orders and other specifications.
  • Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Charts production based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers.
  • May compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
