Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a folding carton plant, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead
  • Proficient with MicroSoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
  • Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process.
  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities.
  • Directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
  • Managing two or more direct reports.
  • Monitoring and achieving operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
  • Performing people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Maintaining and controlling plant finished goods and raw material inventories.
  • Managing experienced professionals and/or supervisors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Resolving customers issues with scheduling.
  • Adapting departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges.
  • Analyzing situations or data that requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in own discipline and a basic knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Solving problems following operational policies and understanding the broader impact across the department.
  • Ensuring production schedule meets customer shipment needs.
  • Applying understanding of the business and how area of responsibility integrates with other areas to achieve department objectives.
  • Interpreting and administering policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units.
  • Developing and administering schedules and performance requirements.
  • Interacting frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels.
  • Participating and presenting at meetings with internal and external representatives.
  • Resolving operational and scheduling issues.
