About The Position

This position affords the opportunity to support Naval Air Systems Command in a role ensuring that combat aircraft receive equipment and parts necessary to complete missions vital to national security. This position is located in Orange Park, FL. You will be part of a warehouse team which handles, ships, receives, accounts for, and stores material in compliance with governing requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience receiving, staging, and issuing material in a warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform inventory control tasks including wall-to-wall inventories, bin/location verification, and daily receipt/shipment/on-hand reconciliation to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Proficient with ERP-based warehousing/supply transactions (Navy ERP preferred) to update inventory records, verify item location/quantity/condition codes, and maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy documentation.
  • Skilled in picking, kitting, and assembling material kits as parts become available; ensures correct kit composition and inclusion of required parts lists/documentation.
  • Experience packaging and shipping assembled kits/material using appropriate packing methods; maintains adequate packing supplies to support operational tempo.
  • Able to identify, document, and resolve discrepancies including shortages/excesses and inventory variances; coordinates corrective actions and provides status updates to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with coordinating material substitutions/alternate sourcing approvals through the appropriate authority chain (e.g., program office / kit management team) when required to complete assemblies.
  • Comfortable supporting reporting needs by pulling basic warehouse/inventory metrics from ERP and communicating operational issues; able to submit and track system support requests (e.g., ERP trouble tickets) when transactions are blocked.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect inbound shipments for damage and ensure proper handling/repackaging when required.
  • Perform inventory control tasks including wall-to-wall inventories, bin/location verification, and daily receipt/shipment/on-hand reconciliation to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Update inventory records, verify item location/quantity/condition codes, and maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy documentation using ERP-based warehousing/supply transactions.
