About The Position

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Production Control Clerk to support the EAGLE LSS Contract in Fort Hood, TX. This role is responsible for all production control functions, requiring at least five years of supervisory experience and comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in supply and maintenance management. The clerk must possess operational skill and knowledge of automated supply systems and will compile and record production data, calculate production factors, write production reports, maintain files, and prepare detailed production sheets or work tickets. Additionally, the role involves preparing work schedules, maintaining inventory records, preparing procurement requisitions, and charting production. The work environment may include periodic overtime and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.

Requirements

  • At least five years of supervisory experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in the applicable supply & maintenance management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations.
  • Operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized.
  • GCSS-A experience.
  • Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Nice To Haves

  • GCSS-A Certification.
  • 3-5 years production control experience.
  • U.S. Army 92-series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all production control functions.
  • Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
  • Calculate types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Chart production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or material.
