About The Position

The Production Associate supports Ornua’s dairy manufacturing operations by preparing cheese and other ingredients for production, handling finished product, and maintaining clean and safe production areas. The role contributes to continuous improvement and helps ensure high-quality products reach customers. Work takes place in a food manufacturing facility with cooler warehouse areas and warmer production zones. The position involves moving equipment, moderate to loud noise, and use of required personal protective equipment. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime as necessary. Pay is $20.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to communicate in English.
Solid work history.
Ability to stand for long periods, including 10-hour days.
Ability to work with hands and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior food manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

Open barrels, blocks, or bags of cheese and other ingredients.
Weigh ingredients to the specified amount according to individual batch sheets.
Use knives and wires to cut and trim ingredients to the correct weights.
Transfer ingredients from the scale to the pickup tables.
Load cheese into grinders and perform required heavy lifting.
Palletize finished product at the end of the packaging line.
Clean equipment and assigned work areas, including the laboratory and production areas, using chemical cleaning solutions, hand tools, and pressurized sanitation equipment.
Inspect sanitation work and follow up as appropriate to ensure operating and sanitation standards are met for a safe, timely start of production and processing equipment.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
