Production Associate - 2nd Shift
About The Position
As the North American headquarters for G-TEKT Corporation, Jefferson Industries actively participates in the Global Automotive Industry. As part of our involvement, Jefferson Industries Corporation offers design and development for press dies and other tools necessary to produce automotive products. We embrace programs for product development including product design review and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Our facilities support high quality product manufacturing, and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of our customers. We are actively seeking experienced forklift and/or tugger operators to join our Material Services Department on 2nd shift (core schedule, M - TH, 4:00pm - 12:30am; Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months forklift and/or tugger experience REQUIRED
- Must complete and pass the forklift/tugger training to operate any equipment
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs on a consistent basis
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required to meet customer demands overtime may be daily and/or weekend
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with scanners, preferred
- Previous experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as PLEX, preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive yard truck
- Load and unload trucks
- Lift/carry, and stack materials
- Supply containers and component parts to production floor
- Transfer finished product from production line to warehouse location
- Utilize scanner to record inventory transactions into ERP system (PLEX)
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Operate yard truck
- Set-up material services station for oncoming shift
- Perform general housekeeping duties in warehouse or production area
- Other duties as assigned

- Weekly Pay $18.75/hour starting wage, plus $0.50/hour eligible hours shift premium
- Base-Rate Pay increase every three (3) months up to top-out rate
