About The Position

This role provides general labor support for plant operations and housekeeping requirements. The Production Associate will be responsible for various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the manufacturing process and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to Managers and Supervisors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and be able to smell.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process.
  • Packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments.
  • Completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.
  • Hand stacking and palletizing of finished goods in preparation for customer shipment.
  • Maintaining the case sealer (top and bottom tape dispensers).
  • Monitoring and correcting the case palletizer as needed.
  • Loss control of product and packaging.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks in preventative care of equipment such as grease and lubrication application.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks to meet organizational requirements and ensure workspace efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conforming to and promoting Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (S&GMP's) in the operation throughout the facility.
  • Participating in the Company Safety Programs.
  • Dealing with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events and reacting well under pressure.
  • Following policies and procedures and using equipment and materials properly.
  • Observing safety and security procedures and reporting potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Supervision.
