About The Position

Arconic is hiring a Production Associate to join its US Rolled Products Team in Danville, Illinois. The role involves moving materials throughout the plant, measuring and inspecting metal, cutting samples, operating furnaces and related production equipment, assisting with shipping, and recording production-flow data using computer terminals. Candidates must be willing to work an assigned shift, which may include nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Two years of work experience in an industrial setting.
• Satisfactorily pass a comprehensive skills test before an interview.
• Pass a physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
• Be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
• Be willing to work the assigned shift, which may include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial trucks and cranes to move metal and other materials throughout the plant.
• Measure metal dimensions in fractions and decimals using steel tape, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
• Cut samples.
• Set up and operate furnaces and related production equipment.
• Inspect metal and materials.
• Assist with the shipping process.
• Use computer terminals to record metal flow and process data.
