About The Position

The Production Associate performs repetitive departmental or live assembly operations to mass-produce products such as automobile interior trim components and assemblies. The associate places and fastens parts together by hand or with hand or powered tools, and may operate and maintain production and material-handling equipment. Associates may be assigned to different work situations, lines, or departments based on production needs. The role is responsible for meeting established quality and production quantity levels while maintaining preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and safe work practices. Some positions require the ability to discern color. The associate may be assigned to drive a tow motor and must be able to work any assigned shift and overtime on short notice. The role also supports implementation, achievement, and maintenance of Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. Additional instructions and related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
• Ability to discern color is required for certain positions.
• Forklift driving classes are required for tow motor drivers only.

Responsibilities

• Place parts in specified relationships and inspect them.
• Fasten parts together by hand or using hand tools or powered tools, including straps, bolts, clips, screws, or cement.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as KPM presses, inspection molds, welders, robots, forklifts, hoists, and cranes for production or material movement.
• Work in different situations, lines, or departments as production needs require.
• Meet established quality and production quantity levels.
• Maintain preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and safe work practices.
• Support implementation, achievement, and maintenance of Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
• Drive a tow motor when assigned.
• Work any assigned shift and overtime on short notice.
• Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.
