Production Associate - Pallet Saw Shop
About The Position
The Production Associate, also described as a Saw Shop Operator, sets up and operates power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation. The role supports the pallet manufacturing process and requires following safety rules, communicating regularly with plant management, and working overtime as needed. The position is located at 2330 East Union Bower Rd, Irving, TX 75061, and pays $19.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work may involve exposure to heat, cold, outdoor elements, and airborne particulates. Employees repetitively lift up to 50–75 pounds and may need to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths. Noise levels depend on the work location. Personal protective equipment is required, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to regularly lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 pounds; the work environment description also notes repetitive lifting of up to 50–75 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
