About The Position

The Production Associate III (Packer/Operator) position is for the B Shift, working from 7pm to 7am, Monday through Thursday. Hours are subject to change, and flexibility for evening and overnight shifts is required. This role involves operating a production line, using a fork truck/scissor lift (requiring comfort with heights), and utilizing software packages like SyteLine, shipping/receiving, and Excel. Overtime is expected, with some operators working from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Responsibilities include assembling, filling, and packaging products, adhering to and adjusting processes for quality standards, performing quality checks, entering production data into a computer system, and performing other production-related duties. The role also requires adherence to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, active participation in process improvement teams, exemplifying core values, supporting company policies, maintaining a positive work environment, and responding promptly to communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform math functions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Capable of producing all products to standard rate
  • Capable of retrieving and applying all quality information
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assigned
  • Willing to share input to improve manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with basic computer use
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Run production line as back-up to Operator
  • Operate fork truck / scissor lift (being comfortable with heights required)
  • Use software packages such as SyteLine / shipping / receiving / Excel
  • Perform department operation procedures that may include assembly, filling and packaging products
  • Adhere to and meet quality standards, as well as adjust the process to meet quality standards if necessary
  • Perform quality checks and collect quality data as needed
  • Enter production quantities and material usage into computer-based system
  • Perform all other production-related duties as assigned or directed
  • Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Actively participate on the process improvement team
