About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the VP, Operations, this role performs production activities including assembling and testing electronic/mechanical components to support production requirements.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years electro-mechanical assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to use small hand tools and measuring devices (e.g. torque drivers, calipers, arbor press)
  • Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum
  • Ability to recognize and effectively handle small parts
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
  • Experience with test equipment (signal generators, power supplies, computer software), printed circuit board and storage device programming
  • Experience with reading and interpretation of manufacturing documentation (work instructions, procedures, drawings, assembly instructions, acceptance test procedures)
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in electronics preferred
  • Knowledge of basic video formats and functional testing
  • Ability to read and understand wiring and circuitry schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical devices
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of component parts and top-level assemblies
  • Acceptance of top-level assemblies in accordance with acceptance test procedures
  • Recommend product quality hold
  • Recommend manufacturing process changes
  • Initiate internal corrective actions
  • Other duties as assigned.
