About The Position

The Production Associate I role is in UMS Secondary Operations and involves the assembly of components into a finished product. This position requires inspection and packaging of assembled parts, accurate completion of production orders, and monitoring of machine-related issues. The associate will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of components, reporting defective materials, and understanding quality control processes. Maintaining production standards, a clean work area, and complying with occupational safety regulations are also key aspects of this role. The position requires representing UMS Manufacturing in a professional manner and working all shifts as required, including on-call availability.

Requirements

Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a Team environment.
Ability to use hand and measurement tools.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Experience working in an industrial or warehouse environment.
Be familiar with safety requirements associated to warehouse and/or industrial operations.

Responsibilities

Assembly of components into a finished product.
Inspection and packaging of assembled parts.
Accurately complete production orders provided by team leader.
Report to team leader on any machine related issue.
Monitor quality of components and report defective or non-compliant materials.
Understand quality control and inspection process and requirements.
Perform activities to establish quality specifications.
Maintain production standards set forth by Management.
Maintain a clean work area.
All other duties assigned.
Represent UMS Manufacturing. in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.
Comply with occupational safety regulations.
Work all shifts as required and on-call availability.
