About The Position

This is a site-based role in Ashland, MA, supporting the manufacturing of MatTek tissue models in a regulated laboratory environment. The position contributes directly to product quality and reliability while offering hands-on development in cell culture medium preparation, quality testing, and biotech manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written SOPs and maintain accurate documentation in a regulated laboratory environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and consistency in routine laboratory tasks
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team under guidance from senior associates and supervisors
• Willingness to perform repetitive, hands-on laboratory work while maintaining focus and precision

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift heavy items such as full 5L glass bottles, and ability to transport heavy items such as full LN2 tanks.
• Basic knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media and supplements using sterile technique with strong attention to detail
• Perform laboratory work under the direction of senior Associates and the Laboratory Supervisor or Manager
• Coat, cure, sterilize, and package cell inserts to meet production and quality requirements
• Perform quality assurance testing, including pH, osmolality, and endotoxin testing, and support product shipping by packing and verifying shipments against MAOs
• Support general laboratory duties and assist with tasks typically assigned to a Laboratory Assistant as needed
