About The Position

The Production Associate 2 is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are currently in training to support various production processes within our facility. This position provides hands-on experience in assembly, sanitation, packaging, labeling, blending, and equipment operation while emphasizing safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
  • Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate equipment
  • Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as required i.e. safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, respirator, hearing protection, etc.
  • Move and relocate materials with fork truck

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with the set up, operation, and tear down of equipment for sanitation, granular, PAK, packaging, labeling, and blending processes.
  • Follow training to execute cleaning and sanitation procedures, ensuring both equipment and work areas are maintained to company standards.
  • Gain experience in monitoring production operations, controlling equipment, and performing basic maintenance tasks.
  • Develop skills to accurately complete batch reports, documenting production details as required.
  • Learn to review work orders to identify necessary materials, ingredients, and procedures for daily production activities.
  • Train to recognize equipment malfunction alarms, safely shut down machinery, and promptly inform the team leader of any issues.
  • Assist in inspecting and packing final products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Understand and adhere to procedures for operating and cleaning heavy processing equipment safely.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices), safety protocols, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Tier boards, Kaizen, and Gemba to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide timely escalation to leads or managers when deviations from process or safety concerns arise.
