About The Position

The Production Associate 2 (Welder) is responsible for operating welding equipment to weld vinyl material. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Able to convert fractions to decimals.
Able to read schematics, drawings and diagrams.
Capable of using computerized equipment
Able to operate foam filling machine.
Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials based on specifications.
Ensure high-quality welds to meet production standards.
Operate welding machines to fabricate and assemble window frames using various welding techniques.
Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the welding process.
Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality inspections /audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues of concern.
Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations (5S / PPE / LOTO).
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and efficiency.
