About the Role (Job Summary) We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Assistant to support high-volume pharmacy fulfillment and distribution operations. In this role, you will ensure accurate packing, labeling, and shipment of prescription orders while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse, distribution, or pharmacy operations who thrive in fast-paced, production-driven environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or production environment
  • Experience handling inventory, packing, shipping, or receiving processes
  • Ability to operate basic equipment (e.g., barcode scanners, label printers, packing tools)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience in accuracy and quality control
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods during shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environment
  • Familiarity with temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials handling
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or shipping systems
  • Certification or experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve order discrepancies independently
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience supporting cross-functional workflows

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pack and label prescription orders according to SOPs and shipping requirements
  • Sort and stage orders by route, carrier, or delivery destination to support efficient distribution
  • Receive and organize incoming materials (e.g., totes, vials, packaging supplies) and prepare outbound shipments
  • Operate scanning and packaging equipment (barcode scanners, label printers, sortation systems)
  • Verify order accuracy and ensure shipments meet quality and compliance standards
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies such as missing items, damaged goods, or routing errors
  • Maintain inventory of packing supplies and support workflow organization (staging, batch tracking, tote management)
  • Follow all pharmacy regulations, safety guidelines, and hazardous material handling procedures
