About The Position

WICS-TV, Newschannel 20 in Springfield, IL has an exciting opportunity for a part-time News Production Assistant! This role involves operating equipment, preparing for newscasts, and other duties as assigned. Training will be provided, and the position requires availability for nights and weekends, with occasional other hours as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to work nights and weekends
• Other hours as needed, on occasion

• Education and/or internship in television or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate Deko, Audio or Camera for our Newscasts
• Prep for newscasts including but not limited to: Prepare all fonts to air during newscast
• Studio and set preparation
• Maintaining studio Lighting
• Digital Editing for newscasts
• Other duties as assigned
