This full-time Production Assistant position in Farwest Steel's Operations Department involves processing orders cut on burning machines and assisting in other warehouse areas while adhering to safety policies. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, and Farwest participates in E-Verify to confirm legal work eligibility in the US. Stable full-time work is expected through 2025, 2026, and beyond.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent optional.

Nice To Haves

Prior Warehouse Experience is a plus
Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.
Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.
Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.
Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.
Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
