About The Position

We are continuously seeking talented individuals for future growth. Park Avenue Coffee is expanding its roasting production team with an entry-level Production Assistant role. This position offers opportunities for growth into production roasting and advanced quality control. The role involves hands-on daily coffee production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the entire coffee flow from green beans to the finished product. It is a physical role in a working coffee production environment, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, who enjoys physical work, and is eager to learn about specialty coffee roasting and production. The Production Assistant is crucial in ensuring every bag of Park Avenue Coffee meets our quality, freshness, and accuracy standards.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
• Interest in coffee and willingness to learn roasting
• Positive attitude and ability to take direction
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical work
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly (team lift for heavier items)
• Comfortable working in a warm, active production environment
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Package roasted coffee for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce orders
• Label, organize, and prepare finished goods for distribution
• Pick, pack, and fulfill wholesale and online orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production workspace
• Assist with roast day setup and workflow
• Begin training on sample roasting and basic roast theory
• Shadow production roasting and learn batch execution
• Assist with cupping and quality control processes
• Support consistency across all coffees and roast levels
• Develop palate and understanding of coffee profiles over time
• Progress into sample roasting and QC evaluation
• Assist with roast profile adjustments and development
• Transition into production roasting responsibilities
