About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This role works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate workflow, manage schedules, and ensure efficient production across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in wood truss, construction materials, or similar industry preferred
- Experience with ERP, production planning, or scheduling software preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Manager with releasing and prioritizing jobs to the production floor
- Coordinate workflow between design, scheduling, production, shipping, and dispatch
- Monitor production schedules and communicate priority changes as needed
- Support production planning using ERP or scheduling systems
- Track progress and help ensure deadlines are met
- Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address production needs
- Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting
