About The Position

The Production Assistant is responsible for operating machines, equipment, and processes within their designated area of the manufacturing plant, ensuring both successful performance and safety. This role is for the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, with flexibility pending business needs. The pay starts at $20.08/hour plus potential for annual bonuses and merit increases.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
1+ years experience working with manufacturing equipment and machinery
Proficient in software including MS Office (Word, Excel) and email.
Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

1+ years of hand on experience in the manufacturing industry
Mechanical or technical training
Fork Lift driving experience

Responsibilities

Accountable for the performance of multiple machines, processes, and pieces of equipment.
Perform routine operational tasks including starting up, shutting down, monitoring, cleaning, basic changeovers, repairs, routine checks, and inspections.
Utilize basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.
Escalate issues appropriately and repair mechanical breakdowns.
Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
