About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This role works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate workflow, manage schedules, and ensure efficient production across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in wood truss, construction materials, or similar industry preferred
• Experience with ERP, production planning, or scheduling software preferred
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager with releasing and prioritizing jobs to the production floor
• Coordinate workflow between design, scheduling, production, shipping, and dispatch
• Monitor production schedules and communicate priority changes as needed
• Support production planning using ERP or scheduling systems
• Track progress and help ensure deadlines are met
• Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address production needs
• Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting
