About The Position

The Production Assembly role sets up and operates assembly equipment and rotates among work cells as directed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader. The position packs finished products for shipment, maintains a safe and clean work area, participates in cell improvements, and performs duties according to established quality standards. The position is scheduled for C Shift, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and understand MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment and read measuring devices.
• Ability to regularly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend downward and forward at the waist, stand for sustained periods, and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
• Rotate into other work cells as instructed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
• Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
