About The Position

Gates is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. We push the boundaries of material science to engineer solutions that continually exceed customer expectations. This role involves assisting with the daily operations required to meet quality, productivity, and safety requirements. Other responsibilities may include completing production paperwork, housekeeping/5S, and adherence to standard work instructions. This is a Temporary Part Time (TPT) position, working up to 40 hours a week, with a pay rate of $23.55 per hour. The shift times are rotating 2 shifts: Days (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) and Afternoons (3:30 pm - 12:00 am), with weekends as needed. Both Day and Afternoon shifts are required.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.
• Able to lift weight up to 15 kg (33.069 lbs.).
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods.
• Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation to work.
• Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Working with others.
• Regular Prompt Attendance

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year minimum experience in manufacturing assembler or equivalent is an asset.
