About The Position

The Production Assembler performs a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations as well as the operation of various hand tools and machines, under minimal guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures. This is a day shift position with a core workweek of Monday through Friday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. Flexible start times are available beginning as early as 5 am. This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in related field
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
  • Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear or talk to effectively communicate with delivery personnel and internal customers.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for detailed work over extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform rapid repetitive tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiently for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to wear required PPE throughout the entirety of the shift.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other appropriate status is required for certain positions, in accord with U.S. import & export regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
  • Operates machines and uses hand tools
  • Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates' work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
  • Applies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell
  • Records production time and quantity data at the cell
  • Assists with training/development purposes, with tasks in other production cells/locations
  • Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
