About The Position

Spectra Alpharetta is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Production Assembler to build ruggedized electronic systems and cable harnesses for aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role involves assembling components according to technical drawings and work instructions, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience in electronics or mechanical assembly and thrives in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR and eligibility to obtain a security clearance may be required.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electronic assembly techniques.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual: Maintains consistent attendance and meets deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with soldering, crimping, and cable assembly tools is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in electronics or mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or rugged electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic and mechanical components with precision and consistency.
  • Support production goals by following documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Assemble parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, wire stripping, and cable routing as required.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and report any defects or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols in all work areas.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives on the production floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
