About The Position

The Production Assembler sets up and operates assembly equipment and may rotate among work cells as directed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader. The role packs finished products for shipment, maintains a safe and clean work area, participates in cell improvements, and performs work in accordance with established quality standards. The schedule is A shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; the successful candidate must be available to train on A shift before moving to C shift.

Requirements

• Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
• At least 1 year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and read measuring devices.
• Availability to train on A shift before moving to C shift.
• Regularly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 50 pounds; bend downward and forward at the waist; stand for sustained periods; and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
• Rotate into other work cells as instructed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished product for shipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Participate in developing and implementing cell improvements.
• Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
