We're looking for a detail-oriented Production Artist to join our production team in Winnipeg. This person will work closely with internal teams to prepare, modify, and proof artwork for printing, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • College degree in Design/Production art
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the print or graphics industry, preparing print-ready artwork
  • Experience working in Mac environments
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
  • Experience with fonts, traps, line screens
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with packaging, labels, or commercial printing
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications beyond Illustrator
  • Prepress or production-art environment experience

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify artwork according to customer and company specifications.
  • Set up artwork on company proof templates.
  • Manage and organize digital artwork files in Mac environments.
  • Perform trapping and artwork adjustments for print production as specified.
  • Prepare files for production.
  • Review and verify color separations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
