M&C Saatchi World Services US is seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Artist/Production Designer. This role ensures creative assets are accurately prepared, adapted, and optimized across digital, print, social, and multimedia channels, maintaining brand consistency, accessibility compliance, and production quality while supporting the successful delivery of communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a detail-oriented Production Artist/Production Designer to support the delivery of high-quality creative and communications products across a portfolio of federal programs. Working closely with creative, designers, art directors, multimedia specialists, UX, account and communications teams, you will play a critical role in transforming creative concepts into polished, production-ready assets for digital, print, social media, presentations, campaign materials, and originating first-pass designs when creative bandwidth is needed. You will ensure visual consistency, technical accuracy, accessibility compliance, 508-compliance, and brand alignment across a wide range of communications products. The ideal candidate combines strong technical design expertise with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to creative excellence. They are comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously, managing production workflows, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency. The candidate has the versatility to work across both production and design responsibilities, moving seamlessly between technical file prep and originating creative concepts under direction as the work demands. This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the greater NYC area or the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

Requirements

Experience preparing production-ready creative assets within a professional design, communications, marketing, or multimedia environment.
Strong understanding of layout design, typography, color management, formatting standards, and visual quality control.
Demonstrated ability to design original layouts and typographic treatments, not only adapt existing ones, with a portfolio showing range across formats.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Experience adapting creative assets across digital, print, presentation, and social media formats.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve inconsistencies, formatting issues, and production challenges.
Experience working within established design systems, brand guidelines, templates, component libraries, and visual identity frameworks.
Ability to manage multiple production tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining asset libraries, file management systems, and version control processes.
Experience collaborating effectively with designers, writers, multimedia specialists, UX teams, and communications professionals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
BA/BFA/BS in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Arts, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in-depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG standards, is preferred.
Familiarity with motion graphics, light animation, video formatting, or multimedia production workflows is a plus.
Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, international development, or mission-driven communications programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare production-ready assets for digital, print, presentation, and social media distribution.
Adapt existing creative assets across multiple formats, platforms, aspect ratios, and channel requirements while maintaining visual consistency and brand integrity.
Adapt and apply visual design decisions, finalize layouts, typography, color treatments, graphic elements, and formatting details to ensure creative outputs meet brand enterprise standards.
Support campaign production efforts through the preparation, refinement, and optimization of creative assets for publication and distribution.
Originate initial layout concepts and design options for content across digital, print, social media, presentation, and campaign environments, based on creative direction or brand guidelines, for review by the senior creative team.
Collaborate closely with designers, art directors, UX specialists, multimedia producers, and communications teams to refine and enhance visual materials.
Ensure all creative deliverables adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility requirements, 508-compliance, usability standards, and quality expectations.
Perform detailed quality assurance reviews to verify accuracy in layout, spacing, alignment, typography, color consistency, and formatting.
Prepare files for print production, ensuring correct specifications, resolution, color profiles, and production requirements are met.
Optimize digital assets for web, mobile, presentation, and social media platforms.
Maintain organized file structures, asset libraries, templates, naming conventions, and version control processes.
Support high-volume production cycles while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of production workflows, asset management processes, and creative operations.
Stay current on design production best practices, accessibility requirements, and emerging creative technologies.
