About The Position
CAPTEK® Softgel International is accepting applications for production and manufacturing positions in La Mirada, California. The Production Teams are seeking Production Line workers, Machine Operators, Quality Inspectors, and Custodian/Facility Maintenance workers. CAPTEK is a global contract manufacturer of nutraceutical supplements, collaborating with brands worldwide. The role involves production work such as handling and mixing materials and ingredients, completing in-process checks, processing gummy products, and transporting trays to the Dry Room. Employees also handle manufacturing documentation and materials through the ERP system, perform cleaning and line-clearance tasks, and may create maintenance and calibration work orders. Shift options are 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; shift differential pay is offered for the second and third shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, industrial baking, pharmaceutical production, or dietary supplement production and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Move bulk materials, manually mix and add ingredients, and perform in-process checks.
- Use a temperature probe, scales, water activity meter, and moisture analyzer.
- Perform peer weight verification.
- Request, receive, and handle materials from the warehouse.
- Scan materials and work-in-progress (WIP) in the ERP system.
- Handle Gummy Collection, Gummy Coating, and Gummy Inspection.
- Stack and secure trays on carts and transport them to the Dry Room.
- Read the Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) and complete the Kitchen portion of the batch record.
- Complete corporate, job-specific, and cross-training.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, tools, and containers.
- Mix and handle chemicals and perform line clearance.
- Create maintenance and calibration work orders.
- Conduct safety inspections and perform daily and weekly tasks, such as mopping, refilling PPE, and facility self-inspections.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
