The Production Administrator reports to the Plant Manager and plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring accuracy and compliance of records, facilitating and tracking employee training, and performing key administrative functions. This role helps maintain operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workforce readiness. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • experience with ERP/LMS systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and maintain production records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Perform routine audits of production documentation
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain organized and accessible filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Ensure timely documentation submission and adherence to record retention policies
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training programs for production staff
  • Maintain and update training records and certification logs
  • Track employee training compliance and notify leadership of gaps or upcoming expirations
  • Schedule training sessions and coordinate with internal trainers or external vendors
  • Generate training reports for management review and audits
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying training needs
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to production leadership
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and production metrics as needed
  • Manage schedules, meetings, and communication for production teams
  • Assist with document creation, revision control, and document distribution
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
  • Order and manage office and operational supplies
  • Support initiatives to improve workflows, documentation processes, and data accuracy
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and HR teams to ensure smooth coordination
  • Assist in implementing new systems or tools related to records or training management
