The Product Warranty Inspector will receive, review, load, and credit appropriate customer accounts in regards to warranty product. This role involves receiving warranty product, checking it in, and processing proper documentation. It also includes processing product adjustments, which involves physical inspection, skiving, taking pictures, chalking, online claim entry, and paperwork collection. The inspector will also be responsible for loading trucks, ensuring product requiring manufacturer inspection is scheduled and picked up promptly, and contributing to a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and operating procedures. There may be opportunities to travel to other warehouses to assist, train, and/or set up warranty processes. The role requires adherence to all vendor adjustment and shipping policies, effective and professional communication with team members, and responsibility for required warranty and return documentation. Additionally, the inspector will assist with process improvement initiatives, help customers and sales teams with warranty questions/issues, and operate power equipment, including a fork-lift. Claims must be processed within 7-10 business days, recommending customer credit for returned merchandise and returning product to proper vendors. Assistance with other warehouse duties may also be assigned.
