About The Position

Anduril is hiring a Product Test Engineer to deploy test equipment at manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites and identify testing improvements for the internal test development team. The engineer will identify gaps in test coverage, perform initial root cause analysis on failed products, and support changes that ensure product quality. The role covers development of test strategies from concept through production deployment, test-line setup, and root cause analysis of field and manufacturing failures across integration, production, and sustainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 6+ years of advanced knowledge acquired through work experience and/or intellectual instruction in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing test or hardware/system integration.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers on PCBA and electronic assembly testing, with thorough knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods.
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Hands-on experience with board-level communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART for test development and debug.
  • Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB for test automation, data parsing, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, network architecture, and end-to-end signal flow.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to remote sites as required to support test integration, commissioning, and equipment sustainment.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, and NixOS.
  • Experience with test automation, PCBA design, and mechanical design.
  • Experience supporting RF production testing, EW systems, or wireless/communications hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product test strategy from concept through production launch, including DFT requirements, test coverage models, yield targets, and quality metrics across lifecycle stages.
  • Deploy, commission, and continuously improve automated test systems for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Design and specify custom test fixtures, tooling, and interfaces for product validation and production testing.
  • Collaborate with board designers to specify custom interface boards and test access points that maximize product test coverage.
  • Define and optimize structural and functional test strategies, including ICT, MDA, and flying probe.
  • Perform root cause analysis on field and manufacturing failures, drive corrective actions across design, quality, and manufacturing engineering, and validate resolutions through regression testing.
  • Use test data analytics to identify trends, predict failures, and improve yield.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and user documentation within configuration management and MES systems.
  • Work with contract manufacturers to replicate, validate, and maintain test capability at external production sites.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on test methods, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are considered part of total compensation.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as a comprehensive and competitive package available at little to no cost to employees.
