As Product & Technology Counsel, you will take on a highly impactful role supporting how Omnissa builds, scales, and partners across our entire platform. You will work directly with product, engineering, security, and alliances teams to help shape new features, enable strategic integrations, and drive our most complex technology partnership, OEM, and embedded‑technology deals. Requirements

  • At least 7 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in‑house at a technology company.
  • Deep experience negotiating complex technology alliances, integration partnerships, OEM agreements, and embedded‑technology deals.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for product and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters and exercise strong judgment in fast‑moving, cross‑functional environments.
  • Broad issue‑spotting capability across privacy, security, IP, regulatory, and product‑related domains.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver with the ability to balance short‑term execution with long‑term strategic considerations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective collaborator who builds trust and works seamlessly with legal colleagues and cross‑functional partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to juggle short and long‑term initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI governance, responsible‑AI principles, or supporting AI/ML‑driven features.
  • Experience using AI tools in your daily legal work or designing processes that leverage AI‑enabled workflows.
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or other privacy certifications.
  • Experience with patent licensing, litigation, or portfolio management.
  • Experience supporting global product launches or cross‑border regulatory issues.
  • Experience with open‑source licensing, developer tools, or software supply chain matters.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, security, and alliances teams across all Omnissa product families to provide practical, business‑focused legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the negotiation and structuring of technology alliances, strategic integrations, OEM arrangements, embedded‑technology, and marketplace deals.
  • Advise on legal, regulatory, data, and security issues related to product design, functionality, interoperability, and third‑party integrations.
  • Support commercial and channel partner agreement negotiations when product involvement is required.
  • Assist with intellectual property considerations related to product development, including patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Develop scalable legal frameworks, guidance, processes, and training that help product and engineering teams move quickly while managing risk effectively.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on specialized risk areas and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance legal team efficiency, including opportunities to incorporate automation or AI‑enabled workflows.
