Plaid
$160,320 - $249,600

About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Counsel to join our legal team, bringing expertise in advising on Payments laws and their application to novel open banking and payments products. As a crucial member of Plaid’s Product Legal team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and guiding the development of our cutting-edge products. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, inquisitive, and solutions-oriented with prior experience advising at a payments-focused fintech, payment processor, bank (with consumer payments or bank-based payments focus) or similar organization. This candidate will possess a deep understanding of payments laws–ideally some combination of Nacha rules, Reg E, Third Party Sender obligations, to name a few–and their implications for the fintech industry. They love collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate legal requirements into product development processes. They are comfortable presenting to executives, and love rolling up their sleeves and working through both small and large product or regulatory nuances. We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving innovation while maintaining regulatory compliance. If you’re interested in a forward-thinking role within an ambitious and dynamic company, and pride yourself on seeing around corners and connecting dots, we’d love to talk to you!
